Mantilla veils have lace trim around the edges. The traditional mantilla, also known as the Spanish mantilla, is oval shaped and worn at the top of the head, secured with hairpins or attached to a head piece. Because it is one layer, this veil style cannot be worn over the face.

Mantilla veils are popular with royalty, and are often the veil of choice for royal princesses. Princess Mary wore a mantilla veil when she married Prince Frederik of Denmark in May 2004. The timeless Grace Kelly of Monaco wore a stunning mantilla veil on her wedding day back in 1956.

An alternative to a traditional mantilla is a mock mantilla veil, which has subtle gathers and is cut into one or two tiers as traditional veils. The lace is then added to the edges. The cascading mantilla veil (sample shown below) is a stunning design, and has the top layer which can be worn over the face. Our mantilla veils are all custom orders. We have lace trims you may choose from, shown below. The lace trims are available in white and ivory. These lace trims are meticulously hand sewn onto the edges of the veil. For something extra special, the lace can be hand beaded as well.
